Repeat Prescriptions
Repeat prescription requests can be made in the following ways:
- In person/post – carefully mark the items required on your repeat slip and forward it to the surgery.
- Online – follow the link at the top of this page to complete a simple registration.
ALL repeat prescriptions must be ordered by the patients themselves or their family member / carer.
It is NOT acceptable to expect your chemist to dispense medication that you haven‘t ordered and that the chemist does not have a prescription for.
Please let us know your Chemist preference so your prescription can be delivered to the Chemist. NB: Remember to tell the receptionist when ordering or include on your on line order.
Repeat prescriptions will be ready for collection from your preferred chemist 2 working days after ordering (i.e. ordered Monday – ready after 17:00 Thursday).
Emergency / Acute Prescriptions
All emergency / acute prescriptions will be ready for collection after 17:00 – on occasions the GP may not have prescriptions signed, please be patient.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
