The duties of the practice nurse, Pauline Heberger, involve running of clinics such as Well Person, Smear, Diabetic, Asthma, COPD, CHD and Hypertension. Appointments may be made with the practice nurse by booking them with the receptionist. Any patient is free to make an appointment with her if they have a problem or require advice.

The practice manager, Genevieve Gavin is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. She supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Our receptionists are here to help you. They may need to ask you for further details when you telephone. This is to ensure that we can assist you as speedily as possible. They are not being deliberately intrusive and are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the doctors and nurses.

The District Nursing Team are in contact daily with the practice and are available for care and advice to housebound patients.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

The health visitors run a Baby Immunisation Clinic: Tuesday AM’s 10:30 – 12:00.
